The North Kingstown Transfer Station and Compost Facility is available to residents and small businesses within the limits of the Town of North Kingstown.

Electronic items accepted at NO charge: Televisions, computers, laptops, monitors, routers, computer parts, cell phones, PDA’s, mice, keyboards, ink-jet printers, toner cartridges, CD/DVD players, radios, network equipment, wires, stereos, plastic speakers, telephones, cameras, microwaves, small household appliances, and acid lead batteries including auto/marine/laptop and battery back-ups.
A $10 disposal fee is charged for each laser-jet printer, wood cased speaker, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and other coolant containing devices.
Not accepted: Light bulbs, single use batteries, tapes/disks, glass, Styrofoam, broken TV tubes or any hazardous materials.
The Eco-Depot is a free service for properly disposing of household hazardous waste from RI residents. Household hazardous waste is anything labeled with a skull and crossbones, or words like 'toxic', 'poison', 'flammable', 'combustible', etc. Examples include mercury devices, automotive fluids, gasoline, propane tanks, fertilizers, pesticides, pool chemicals, and polishes.
