A Geographic Information System by definition is an organized collection of computer hardware, software, geographic data, and personnel designed to efficiently capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze, and display all forms of geographically referenced information. North Kingstown's GIS site allows the public to request GIS maps, and provide users of this site with a means for printing GIS maps in PDF format. GIS data and maps can be purchased through the North Kingstown Department of Information Systems by filling out an online request form.
