Food distribution of non-perishable goods are distributed at South County Community Action, 415 Tower Hill Road North Kingstown on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. The telephone number is 401-789-3016, ext. 2300. Recipients of SSI, SNAP, Medical Assistance and other low-income programs can receive food once a month.
North Kingstown FISH (Friends in Service to Humanity) is a volunteer organization that gives rides to those who have no other means of transportation to medical or dental appointments or to related services. FISH always needs volunteers for telephone workers and drivers and offers mileage reimbursement to volunteers.
WellOne Primary Medical Center, 308 Callahan Road, North Kingstown, is open to all people. Fee for service is based on a sliding scale which is determined by income and family size.
