Letter from the Director:
“Blossom by Blossom the Spring begins”
The persistent winds of March are finally giving way as we begin to feel, see and smell the long awaited bounty of Spring Time. Spring lifts our spirits as does the dedication of our many volunteers here at Beechwood. “Volunteer Appreciation Week begins on April 16th and we will be hosting a special breakfast in recognition of those individuals who generously donate their time and expertise and are key to the success of the many programs we offer at Beechwood. * Our volunteers of the year for 2012 are Shirley Burnham, Katherine Alexander, and Geraldine Fitzpatrick. They have each dedicated many hours for over 20 years of service to our Senior Center.
*(Invitations will be sent to all volunteers registered through the Senior Center).
Other springtime events include a trip to The Magic Wings Butterfly Garden and a Tour of Blithwold gardens and mansion. Sally Gruber will also be on hand offering her ever popular Spring Floral Arranging Class. That’s not all! You’ll find several other special events listed on our April calendar including our Easter Luncheon on April 9th with entertainment provided by Celtic Harp player, Mary King.
Please join our staff for a spectacular Spring at Beechwood!
Enjoy your age!
