The Town of
North Kingstown commits itself to meeting the state's 10 percent affordable
housing goal. The
North Kingstown Affordable Housing Plan
has been developed to meet the requirements of Rhode Island
General Law
45-22.2 entitled Rhode Island
Comprehensive Planning and Land Use Regulation Act and
45-53
entitled Rhode Island Low and Moderated
Income Housing Act.
Currently, 8
percent (843 units) of North Kingstown housing stock qualify as affordable.
The Town needs 205 additional affordable housing units to meet the 10 percent
affordable housing goal.

North Kingstown Affordable Housing Plan may also be examined at the
Department of Planning and Development in the Town Hall Annex, 55 Brown Street,
the Office of the Town Clerk, 80 Boston Neck Road, at the North Kingstown Free Library, 100 Boone Street,
or at the Davisville Free Library, 481 Davisville Road.
