Campaign Update
When the voters of North Kingstown
approved $4 million bond towards the new Senior Center and
improvements to the town beach complex, The
North Kingstown Senior Association
agreed to raise additional funds in support
of the Senior Center.
A committee was formed consisting of
leading state and local citizens and chaired by Judge Joe
White and Congressman Bob Weygand.
Thanks
to the hard work of this committee, and the wonderful
support of North Kingstown citizens and businesses, we’re
well on our way to achieving our goal. But we still need
your help.
Pledges allow the North Kingstown
Senior Center Capital Campaign donors to consider more
substantial commitments than are possible with one-time
gifts…although they are always welcome and appreciated.
Stocks and other assets that are easily liquidated are also
options when considering your campaign gift. By making a
gift of appreciated stock or property, you may reduce or
avoid capital gains. Gifts to the campaign are deductible to
the fullest extent of the law.
If you would like to discuss how you
could help this wonderful cause, download our
Capital Campaign brochure,
a
Pledge
Card, or contact Director Kathleen Carland at
(401) 268-1593 or
kcarland@northkingstown.org.
As noted in the Capital Campaign
brochure: “Your contribution will provide vital funding to
ensure that our seniors and our community have a vibrant and
useful Senior Center and Town Beach Complex”
