HIGHLIGHTS
JUNE 16, 2010 - Last day for
disaffiliation for primary voters
JUNE 28, 29 & 30 - Declaration of candidacy filing period (all
candidates for federal and statewide office file with Secretary of
State's Elections Division; all candidates for the general assembly,
local offices and party committees file with local board of
canvassers.
*AUGUST 14, 2010 -
Deadline
to register to vote in the party primaries
SEPTEMBER 14, 2010 -
PRIMARIES
**OCTOBER 2, 2010 -
Deadline
to register to vote in the general election
NOVEMBER 2, 2010 -
GENERAL ELECTION
*The Board of Canvassers will be open on Saturday,
August 14, 2010
from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for
NEW
voters who wish to register for the Primary.
**The
Board of Canvassers will be open on Saturday, October 2, 2010
from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for
NEW
voters who wish to register for the General Election.
Voters who have
moved from one address to another within the Town of North
Kingstown SHOULD CHANGE
their address to vote in their proper district.
WOMEN who
have CHANGED THEIR NAMES SINCE THE
LAST ELECTION should have their
voting record updated.
The
Board of Canvassers Office is open Monday through Friday
8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
