The Town Administration, Staff and Town Council are deeply sadden by the passing of Al Southwick and send heartfelt condolences to Al’s family and to the community. Al was indeed a legend and local icon. If our time is measured by what we’ve done to make the place we live a better place, then Al’s is overflowing with the lives he’s touched and the community he devoted his life to. We are all better people for having had the privilege of working with Al but most importantly being friends with Al. We are working with Al’s family and have planned a “Celebration of Al” so our community can pay tribute to Al’s devotion and service to North Kingstown and the many generations whose lives he touched.
