2021 FULL REVALUATION
Dear North Kingstown Property Owner,
The Town of North Kingstown will be conducting a Property Revaluation for 2021. In accordance with RI General Laws 44-5-11.5 and 44-5-11.6, a revaluation is required every three years. The purpose of the revaluation is to reconcile property assessments to their full and fair cash value as of December 31, 2021.
In a full revaluation, which is the case this year, all properties are visited by data collectors to verify accuracy of information. Typically, interior as well as exterior inspections, including measurements, are conducted. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, interior inspections are not being conducted. Data collectors will be visiting all properties to inspect and measure exteriors, including outbuildings. An attempt to verify interior data with the property owner will be made at the door.
The Town of North Kingstown, RI has hired Vision Government Solutions to conduct the revaluation. All Vision Data Collectors will carry photo identification, as well as a letter from the Tax Assessor stating the nature of their work. Their vehicle information will be on file with the Tax Assessor’s Office. We respectfully request your cooperation with data collectors during this process, to ensure that accurate information is used in the revaluation process.

Once the revaluation process is complete, and all data is analyzed, new assessments will be mailed to property owners in early 2022. At that time, Vision Government Solutions will conduct informal appeal hearings with property owners to discuss assessments, at the property owner’s request. Final property assessment will be reflected on the July 2022 tax bill, with further appeal options available through the Tax Assessor’s Office at that time.
