Conservation Commission

Harbor Management Commission
The Harbor Management Commission is the local advisory body to the Town Council, authorized to recommend policy for the coastal waters and harbor areas of the Town consistent with the Harbor Management Plan and any subsequent ordinances.

Historic District Commission
Before a property owner may authorize or commence construction, alteration, repair, removal or demolition affecting the exterior appearance of a structure or its appurtenances within the Historic District, the owner must apply for and receive a certificate of appropriateness from the Historic District Commission.

Wickford Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Wickford Village Plan is to protect and enhance the traditional character of historic Wickford Village by preserving the village’s sense of place as well as natural, historical, cultural and aesthetic values; to maintain Wickford Village as an attractive community with economic vitality; and to establish design standards as well as guidelines for public safety and mobility while improving village infrastructure.
